Modern interpretation of Peruvian and Mexican cuisine. Intelligent and creative way of playing with different tastes, flavours and textures.
Prices are affordable for such intricate dishes. Appertizers cost around 10-15 euros on average, main dishes cost around 15-20 euros on average.
1. Grilled sea bream with creamy rice, squid and shrimp (Tumbada Pil Pil) - The rice soaked up all the sauce with was bursting with seafood umami flavour, the fish was grilled to perfection with a soft yet firm texture and crispy outer skin.
2. Thick tortilla with beans, chorizo ββand fried octopus (Sopes de Pulpo) - octopus was grilled nicely, tender and soft.
2. Beef heart with corn cream and melted cheese (Chabuca Granda) - this was the best dish in my opinion, the beef heart was grilled wonderfully, slightly crisp and charred on the outside, yet maintaining its softness and juiciness on the inside.
3. Pumpkin cream with leeks and crispy heart palms (Palmito Nikkei) - the palm hearts were soft on the inside which juxtaposed nicely with the crispy outer shell made of deep fried rice vermicelli. The creamy pumpkin puree gave the dish a natural sweetness.
4. Duck breast with Nikkei sauce and crispy black corn (Tostada Oriental) - The roasted duck breast was executed well, slightly pink, juicy and succulent on the inside. The dish as a whole was delectable, however I found the sauce was a tad too salty for my liking.

Grilled eel eaten three ways!
Located in an unassuming food hall within a shopping mall, this restaurant specialises in grilled unagi hitsumabushi.
Grilled with real charcoal while being dipped in their secret sauce twice, the grilled eel was slightly charred and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside.
It was an intense dining experience as it only focused on single element - Japanese freshwater eel (unagi). The rice was equally amazing, perfectly cooked to the right texture and consistency!
First way of eating is only tasting the original taste of the grilled eel itself.
Second way of eating is by adding the provided condiments such as wasabi, green onion and shredded seaweed, which gave the dish a slightly different dimension and change in taste.
Last but not least, you scoop out some rice and eel into a separate bowl and pour in some dashi broth, turning it into a whole new dish called Ochazuke!
We also ordered a side dish out of curiosity - grilled eel liver. It was aromatic with a slight crisp on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. A great pairing with beer!

My first sushi omakase in my life πππ₯° basically the chef decides the menu. It was like a symphony of different combinations of flavours, textures, different layers of sweetness and umami-ness exploding in my mouth, interspersed with the tanginess and pungentness of the pickled wasabi leaves and pickled radish to cut through the richness of the seafood.
1. Sole fish sashimi
2. Scallop sashimi
3. Lightly seared katsuo (bonito)
4. Pickled wasabi leaves
5. Snapper sushi
6. Amber jack sushi
7. Lightly poached abalone with sweet sauce
8. Chawanmushi with Hokkaido crab meat
9. Markerel roll
10. Seared oysters and poached octopus
11. Uni (sea urchin), ikura (salmon roe) and white bait chirashi and seaweed
12. Pickled radish
13. Creamy tofu
14. Pickled sweet dried cucumber handroll
15. Akami (red tune) and Otoro (fatty tuna belly)
16. Clam (asari) soup
17. Anago (sea eel)
18. Dashi omelette
19. Minced tuna and raw onion handroll
20. Super sweet orange to end the superb dinner
