The making of…Apple Moist Cake!!!

This is my first endeavour in making the apple moist cake, a recipe which I found in The Star newsapaper on Monday.

Ingredients:
150g cake flour
100g castor sugar
1 tspn baking soda
1 tspn vanilla essence
2 eggs (lightly beaten)
crushed walnuts (optional)
400g grated apples (preferably red apples)
170 ml vegetable oil

STEP 1: Preheat the oven at 180 C
STEP 2: Mix the cake flour, baking soda and castor sugar well in a mixing bowl.

STEP 3:
Then add in the vegetable oil (I personally prefer using butter as it will give the cake a buttery aroma) , mix well. Next, add in the crushed walnuts, continue mixing until all ingredients are well-incorporated.

STEP 4: Slowly, add in the eggs and vanilla essence. Then, add in the grated apples, mix everything well.

STEP 5: Pour the batter into greased tin and bake it for about 45 minutes or until the bamboo skewer comes out clean.

In the end, it wasn’t that successful, though it tasted pretty good, except that the fact it’s a bit too sweet(I suggest to cut down the sugar weightage to around 70g). I’d give myself 6/10 since it’s my first time..haha…
